Finishing Up

This week I got a lot done. I got all of my videos imported onto my project. I also was able to get into the theater which really made a nice edition to my video. Yesterday and last night i was able to get most of the timing on the video done and all of the footage to the project. Over the weekend I am going to do some finishing touches and then write the final paper. So overall good week and I am excited to see the final project.

Last Monday

Over the weekend we were able to get a lot of footage done for the music video.. today we are going to get the files uploaded onto the computer and start the editing process.

What I Have Done/Learned and Plan To Get This Thing Done

I have done a lot of things to help make the best music video I can make. First I got a better background on what music videos are all about. By doing this I watched music videos of the same genre on youtube and also recorded VH1's Top 20 and watched the music videos on there. By doing this I now know how music videos look like when they are professionally made. Secondly I did a storyboard. My first storyboard I made was approved by you but due to us not being able to use the theater I had to change a lot of it so I made a second storyboard. After I completed the storyboard I did some research on how a music video was made. This was a perfect thing to do in class to do while we were waiting for a time that we can shoot our video. I also watched music videos at home on youtube and watched how those videos applied the skills I learned about on the internet. I few of the things I learned about were how to use green screens and chroma key, camera angles, zooming, and lighting. Now my plans to get this project done is to shoot all of the video this weekend. And then come Monday with all the footage ready to be edited and done by the end of the week.

Today I started my whole story board over because I wasn't able to do anything in the theater and thats where a lot of my last storyboard took place. So now I am finding a different place to film the majority of my film...

Theater

Today I am probably going to go to the theater and make sure everything is ready for shooting tomorrow because we are going to shoot the video during this hour so there is actually something to do.

Busy Weekend

This week due to prom/ post prom, we were unable to shoot the video. We are hoping that we can find time this week but it may be hard because we have 5 games of baseball to play. I am thinking we should have a free night on Wednesday so we might have to get it all done that night.

Thursday

Last night I talked to all of my actors and we scheduled a shooting date for this weekend on Sunday. We should be able to get a majority of the shooting done here. If not most of it which will give me something to work on come monday with the editing process.

WEDNESDAY

At this point in the project I have finished my storyboard and have read up on a few tips on how to shoot a music video properly. Today I am going to read on how to use a green screen. This will help with shooting because we won't have to go all over town to film this thing but just in front of the screen. After that all I will have left to do is shooting the video and editing it.

I Guess We Cant Do That

So since I basically requested to have this class because of my desire to better my video editing because it is something I might want to do something someday I was going to make a football highlight video and a wrestling highlight video... Video's I would LOVE to look back on when I get older because of my love for athletics. But I guess that isn't what is wanted in this make shift class so I think I am going to go to my second tier and make a music video with all of the guys. So to start off this thing I am going to have to record the video first and then bring the video in to "Edit" which leaves me with not much to do in the class for a while....

NEW QUARTER

We are at the start of the new quarter. This quarter I am going to make my wrestling highlight video. I am going to again use Windows Movie Maker to make this video. I am going to start everything by getting the videos off of my video camera to a jump drive so I can work on the project in school.

Start Of A New Quarter

This has been my first blog in a while due to the computers being so slow and not allowing me to post. Last quarter was a success. I finished my football highlight video just the way i wanted it. It has a perfect song that makes me remember the football season. It has enough and good clips of my football career. I added a lot of special effects. Overall I thought I did a really good job. Now for the last quarter of my high school career I am going to make a wrestling highlight video. This will be a task because you need soo much footage. But I know how to do this better then last quarter so I should be able to get it done by the time I graduate.

Start Of The Week

This week I am going to have to bring in more videos from the camera at my house. The song i chose for the video is around 4 minutes and at this point i only have 2 and a half minutes of footage. That will pretty much keep me busy for the rest of the week.

End Of The Week

This week I got a lot done. I put some special effects like the slow down one and the black and white one. This I think will really make the video look nice. I also cut down all of the clips. I also cut the back end of a couple of clips and played them over again so you can get a better look at the best part of the play.

This week I am going to work on putting some special effects into the highlight video. I am not sure which ones yet but I am going to mess around with some of the video effects and see which ones fit best with the video. There are a lot to pick from so I should be able to find some. I am also going to bring some more football footage from home. I need enough footage so that I have it playing til the end of the song.

Today which is a Tuesday is the first and last day i will be in here this week. So really all I am going to get done in here today is the progress report type deals that we have to do in WORD.

End Of The Week

I am going to blog today because tomorrow I will be wrestling in sections. This week I got a lot done. I got the introduction part of the video with the pictures and the slide that says Rebel Football. I got it to line up with the music so it looks really nice. I also cut all of the clips into individual plays because some of the clips had two or three plays in one clip. I also shortened the clips down so you don't get the cadence and people standing around in the highlight video.

This week is going to be a busy week for my road to an espy. I am going to get the videos that i have uploaded into my project to match up with the song i choose. I am also going to cut them down so it isn't playing worthless footage of the cadence or of people standing around. I am also going to learn how to comment on other people's blogs. So i am not a Y-ner any more.

End Of The Week

This week was a pretty succesful week. We were able to get the videos imported into my highlight video project. We were able to do this by doing it on Mrs. Tollefson computer where she has the administrative priveleges to do something with the codecs. Anyways I also cut down the video clips to where I wanted them. So we got out foot in the door and in no time there will be a real sweet football highlight video.

Last week we ended off with having problems with the administrator priveleges or whatever so first thing we should try and get that to work so I am able to import those videos on to my highlight video project. Once I get those uploaded I would like to get the introduction part of the video done by lining up small video clips and pictures so it goes along with the music.

End of the week

This week we had some problems getting the videos I had ripped of the dvd to be able to be used on Windows Movie Maker. But we got them switched over to an avi format but then I am not able to download codecs because of administrator permissions so we will have to figure that out next week. But Mrs. Tollefson said I have to have a plan and my plan is to make a sweet highlight video in which the beginning of the video is going to have pictures of me and then i am going to have short clips so everytime it says boom on the song I am lighting some kid up. It is going to be sweet.

This week I am going to use the videos I have off of my camera since it is hard to find time to get them off of Soderberg's computer. This might end up being better anyways because I can use a lot of the close up shots for the "introduction" of the video. I brought in the music that i want being played during the highlight video so now I have to get the videos matched up with the videos how i want it to in the beginning after that it should all be smooth sailing.

This week I got some videos uploaded onto the computer and also into a project on Windows Movie Maker. I DO NOT need any Windows Movie Maker books because of the fact I know how to use just about every aspect of the program. I used it a lot this fall with the election type deals... but yeah otherwise thats about all i can get done until I am able to get the rest of the videos off of Soderbergs computer and yes he knows about it. And the detention for the literally 10 seconds of Solitaire is an absolute joke and couldn't be more frustrated with that. Ridiculous

This week I am going to continue to work on my football highlight video using Windows Movie Maker. I am going to try and get more videos off of Mr. Soderbergs computer using Taylor's specialized jump drive. I also need to pick out a song for the video.

This week I got a lot done. I set up this wonderful blog that is furnished with lots of pretty colors and a really cool countdown that is counting down the days til I am sitting on the beaches of Mexico in 80 degree weather. Today I also started getting my football videos uploaded into Windows Movie Maker and I started with the title and the effects for the first video. I am going to use Windows Movie Maker for my football video and then jump to the Adobe Premier for my wrestling highlight video.

What I'm Going To Do

I have plenty ideas that I want to do. The videos I most want finish is a highlight video for wrestling and for football. In these highlight videos I am going to have video clips from my matches and football games and there will be music in the background. I will be using Window Movie Maker on one and I am going to try and use the Adobe Premier on the other. I am going to try and use a lot of affects and make the coolest highlight video
around.
